Disney is phasing out Soapnet due to continuing viewership declines and the cancellation of soap operas. Disney launched a new network called Disney Jr on March 23, 2012, and LHTC is required to replace Soapnet with Disney Jr. Beginning in June, Channel 40 on all channel line ups will be Disney Jr.
