Fiber Internet Service

Fiber is LHTC's newest internet service offered. While Fiber is not available everywhere, we are working daily to get it to each and every one of our customers. Fiber and DSL differ in a few ways. One thing to remember is that 512Kb/s with DSL is technically the same as 512Kb/s with Fiber. The main differnce in the two is quality of service. DSL uses existing phone lines that have been hanging on poles for more than forty years. Fiber service is delivered over a modern fiber optic cable. What does this mean to you? Fiber is not susceptible to weather changes and oxidation, meaning you will have a much more steady bandwidth, very little fluctuation in speeds. Fiber is also an "always on" connection like DSL.

When you have Fiber installed, a box will be installed on the outside of your house and we will install all of the cables needed to get you online. Another benefit of Fiber is that you no longer need to have a modem to clutter up your desk, and no more filters on your phone lines. Your unlimited residential Fiber Internet service also includes 5 email addresses and a personal web page with 10 megabytes of storage. LHTC offers its subscribers personalized technical support.
