Open up Windows Mail (if not already opened).

At the top of the window, click on Tools, then down to Accounts...

You will see a white box on this window that displays your mail accounts (You can disregard everything listed below Directory Service)

If you do NOT see anything listed in this box click HERE

If you DO see something like mail.lhtot.com, click on it then press the Properties button to the right

When the Change E-mail Account window opens up, check the following settings:

  • Your Name: Put whatever you want (usually First & Last Name)
  • E-mail Address: yourusername@lhtot.com
  • Incoming mail server: mail.lhtot.com
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.lhtot.com
  • User Name: your_user_name (do NOT type "@lhtot.com")
  • Password: Check that your password is correct (CaSe SeNsItIvE)
  • My server requires authentication Make sure the box IS CHECKED!
Click on the More Settings... button at the bottom right of the window.

When the Internet E-mail Settings window opens, click on the Outgoing Server tab.

Make sure the check box is CHECKED by My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

Make sure the first option is selected that says Use same settings as my incoming mail server

Press OK on the Internet E-mail Settings Window

Press Next on the Change E-mail Account window

Press Finish on the Change E-mail Account window

Press Close on the Accounts Settings window

The settings should all be correct now, try pressing the Send/Receive button.
